Athletic League Playing Requirements
Bremen Parks & Recreation Department
For more information, please contact Superintendent of Athletics,
Ashley Spence - aspence@bremenga.gov

Basic Information:

Below are the mandatory playing requirements for all children registered with the City of Bremen Parks & Recreation Department.  These requirements are put in policy by our department to assure that all children involved in our programs get a chance to play in the games.  These are only the minimum playing requirements, as it will be up to the coach if a child plays more.  In some sports, our department requires that children play more than what is required by league rules; however, coaches are required to follow our playing requirement policies.

The only exception to these playing requirements is if a child is sick or being disciplined.  If a child is being disciplined, the coach must let both the parents & Parks and Recreation Department know up front.  Players need to be at practices and team activities on time or they may be disciplined by playing less.

What if my child is not getting their proper amount?:

First please try to talk to your coach.  Do not do it in the heat of the moment and please do it in a civil manner.  If after speaking with your coach, your child is still not getting their proper amount, then please contact Ashley Williams (Superintendent of Athletics).

Positions & Who starts games:

It will be at the discretion of the coach(es) who starts and what position each child plays. In some age groups and sports you will notice we put requirements in place. However, in others we do not.  In those instances, our department will not tell coaches who to play and where to play them.
