About Us
The purpose of the Bremen Parks & Recreation Department is to enrich individuals, families and the community through the provision of recreation service, facilities and special events which are fun, promote learning, and build skills for all of Bremen's residents and visitors.
Bremen Parks & Recreation Department is located in West Georgia. Bremen is a city of 4,600 residents. The Department currently supervises two parks:
Rock Park, 10 acres, is classified as a City Park. It is located in downtown Bremen and is within two miles of every City resident. The park contains six lighted hard service tennis courts, a sand volleyball court, an outdoor cement basketball area, a tot playground, cooking grills, and picnic tables. The Rock Park Facility is a multi-purpose center used for rentals, passive programming, meetings, teen activities, and dances.
The second park is the Bremen Sports Complex and Park, 60 acres, is also classified as a city park. The complex contains five lighted ball fields used for baseball, softball, soccer, football, and special athletic events, a tot playground, comfort station, and concession stand.
The Department’s main offices are located in the Bremen Activity Center, which is a double gym and office complex. The Activity Center is a multi-purpose facility used for rentals, concerts, basketball, indoor walking in the morning, and special events held by the Department. It contains not only 2 courts for basketball but also a concession stand, restrooms, and dressing rooms. The Bremen Senior Center is located within the Sports Complex. The Bremen Senior Center houses the City's Nutrition Center. The Senior Center is also used for rentals, Leisure Programming Office, and Department programs.
