Parks & Recreation Commission Board
Authority
The Bremen Parks and Recreation Department was created under ordinance established by the Mayor and City Council of Bremen, Georgia. The ordinance is drawn in accordance with State of Georgia Code, Title 69, Section 601-602. The ordinance created the Bremen Parks and Recreation Commission as the authority over the cities Parks and Recreation Department.
They are charged with the task of providing leisure facilities, programs, staff, and up-keep of a full time Park and Recreation Program for the City.
Commission Members
The Commission consist of five adult volunteers, living in the City of Bremen, appointed by Bremen Mayor and City Council to serve 3 year term, expiring October 1st.

Commission Policy
The Bremen Parks and Recreation Department Commission will govern the Department through an operations manual containing policies which shall address issues the department and staff will encounter on the job. The Department Director will be responsible for implementing policy the Commission will monitor the Departments operation through written reports and monthly meetings.
Commission Findings
The Bremen Mayor and City Council appropriate Annual Funding for the Department from Tax Revenue. The Commission is also empowered to change Fees, Accept Donations, and Secure Grants for additional funding.
